Electronics Engineer (analogue design)
An electronics engineer having experience and specific expertise in analogue & digital circuit design preferably in an instrumentation development environment is required. The candidate will be a self-motivated individual capable of running development projects independently. The work will involve analogue & microprocessor based circuit design for precision instrumentation applications with significant involvement in real time embedded software development. Relevant skills include: analogue/digital circuit design, PCB layout, electronics CAD experience, theoretical circuit modelling and analysis, assembler and/or embedded 'C', use of PAL/FPGA technologies and electronic CAD development tools. Good written and presentational communication skills are required.
Two roles exist - Development experience is required for the more senior role. New graduates will be considered for the second role. A BSc (2:1) or a higher degree in a relevant electronics engineering course is required. The candidate will be expected to work independently and as a member of a team contributing to all aspects of the product development cycle from requirement analysis through design & development into production. Some off-shore support will be required. This position will report into the Technical Director.
