Chelsea Technologies Group’s (CTG) Maritime Manager, Stephanie Lavelle will be demonstrating and presenting on the CTG FastBallast Compliancy Monitor at the BWMTech Conference to be held on 12-14 December at the Hilton, Tower Bridge.
The FastBallast Portable Ballast Water Compliance Monitor is capable of determining the phytoplankton cell density of ballast water at the IMO D2 & USCG Discharge Standards (10 to 50 um range). The Compliance Monitor is available as a portable dual function discrete and flow-through analysis system, solely as a portable discrete sampling system or as a fully integrated system for continual flow-through analysis.
Breaking News: Oil producer Saudi Aramco recently selected CTG to provide benchmark testing for compliance with ballast water standards. This follows Saudi Aramco’s announcement that all ships calling at its ports and terminals will be required to provide ballast water samples, in order to demonstrate compliance with the IMO Ballast Water Management Convention. CTG’s FastBallast portable ballast water analyzer has been chosen by Saudi Aramco and will be deployed as a benchmark testing device to conduct spot checks on indicative sampling undertaken by third-party sampling companies. FastBallast was selected following a detailed technical review conducted by Saudi Aramco’s in-house marine biology experts.
